I wish I had the power to change things
How I really do wish I could even change the world
Surely, that would mean going back
Winding back the clock
And walking down memory lane
Oh, my God!
There would be so much to change; wouldn’t there?
Gosh, I would get a cloak all wrapped in things and rings
I would mask my face and make that setting my world
So that all those who say my beauty is a crack
Would only have themselves to rock
Because, then, alone I would run on my own lane
The only one in the know would be God
And no one would be able to get here from there.
